Wendy and Heathers Turkey Chili

Great ground-turkey based chili. Can be spiced up further with cayenne pepper and/or jalapenos.

Great recipe!! I added too much salt though. I will remember to add just the amount in the recipe next time. I used petite diced tomato and no onion to suit my husbands tastes a little better!

Enjoyed this again this week -- a great "set and forget" recipe. Seems to do better simmering for 3 hours or so. Paired with cornmeal muffins and a rainy, cold Seattle evening. Just what the doctor ordered.

Very good, very versatile ground-turkey-based chili recipe that can be increased or decreased in spiciness per personal taste. Don't skip the sharp cheddar cheese!

Making this again tonight. Works very well for Super Bowl Sunday get-togethers! (Big-screen TV not included.)

Made this tonight. Used a lot more crushed tomatoes this time (two 28 oz cans), and about 1/3 cup of chili powder. Let it simmer for 3 hours. Wonderful, relatively healthy dish for autumn!

Also, one other note. Be sure to make this with 99% lean ground turkey. The darker ground turkey doesn't offer the right texture.
