Strivento , 1 years agoI added roasted pepper and asiago chicken sausage. I also used some of the pasta water and parm cheese to make more of a sauce. It was delicious.

noelynn1 , 1 years agoIt is a nice light dinner. I think it would be great as a lunch. My kids 4 1/2 and 6 years old like it. I will have to chop up the red pepper into smaller pieces. I like it a lot. :-)

amy_d_clark , 1 years agoThis was great! I altered a little, I don't measure a lot when cooking but I added more pasta, more basil, some cayenne and garlic powder (we like garlic). I also threw in turkey sausage and the Parmesan gave it an extra flavor.
vlr123 , 1 years agoMade this recipe tonight as written. It was a little bland so my husband suggested to add hot chili sesame oil. We each added a shot of the oil to our own dish and it melded so nicely and gave it the wow that it needed.
pols005 , 1 years agoVery simple weeknight meal. I doubled the recipe. It wouldn't really have been enough for 4 as written. I added 1/2 to 3/4 cup of the pasta water at the end of cooking the vegetables - made the whole thing really creamy. I also added way more fresh basil than called for - about 1/3 cup when I tossed the pasta - don't cook with the onion and garlic if using fresh. I also added about 1/8 cup of olive oil when tossing and considerably more parmesan lots of salt and fresh ground pepper. I guess more is better!
lolahbf , 1 years agoThis makes a perfect lunch and you can whip it up so fast, you can make it in the morning before you go out. I actually look forward to having it for lunch and it's so healthy - especially if you use wholewheat pasta. Plus, you can add more vegetables. I add sweetcorn.
