This recipe comes from a site called http://www.cookingbread.com/ . So when I came across the Bread Cone Recipe, I instantly knew I would try it. I thought it was so elegant and pretty...perfect for bridal showers, birthday parties, reunions, potlucks, picnics or any other special occasion. There was one problem though, I didn't have any cream horn tubes to make these...so I came up with my own idea, using cardstock (or in my case mailing flyers). I covered the flyers with aluminum paper and they worked like a charm. If you have the cream horn tubes, use those instead. I love these bread cones...delicious and unique.

xshelbyannx ,I made these together with my mom today and they are fabulous! We used chicken salad as the stuffing for one and I made some with a pizza filling! Just made one with pepperjack cheese and ham and it was delish. Thank you so much!12y
kerri3185 ,Great idea! I'm wondering if you could use the bread sticks that come in a roll already made instead of making your own bread?12y
moomasters ,Great idea! Haven't tried it yet, but it seems like you could substitue dry yeast for the active yeast and make it in the bread maker, so I think I might do that to eliminate most of the effort..."DaBlackCrystal", bread flour is different than all purpose flour, but only gives it a slightly different flavor and texture and can easily be replaced in most recipes if you don't feel like spending money on different types of flour. I myself just usually use all purpose. Can't wait to try out these little beauties! :)12y
dablackcrystal ,I didn't try it yet but it looks sooo ummy .. I have a question : the bread flour is it like all purps flour???12y
benitanaomi ,I stuffed mine with ham ,egg Mayo ,lettuce ,onion, tomato they were lovely but a bit sweet .. I'll leave out the sugar next time.12y

ettabakes ,This was simply wonderful!! I made these bread cones and used both chicken salad and lobster salad as fillings to create an elegant entree for a luncheon. The recipe is fairly easy but does take some time. However, for a special occasion these bread cones were well worth the effort. Thanks for the great recipe!13y
padetres ,Easy and ver y golf idea, but please, in recipie could you use gr instead of mils, i do not finder the equivalente. Regards13y
miss.kristi ,This was fantastic for a party as they turned out lovely. Unfortunately, it was a lot of work. I am not sure I would go through the trouble to make them again for just sandwiches. I may however make the recipe and bake the bread in a normal bread pan then slice it for sandwiches. Very creative though, thanks for sharing!13y
heatherellifritz ,My family loves these!!! Very easy to make! I used regular flour and they turned out great! They are perfect for picnics and beach days! Love them with egg salad!13y
