Ingredients

4 tablespoon Soy sauce
2 teaspoon Sugar
2 teaspoon Corn starch
4 teaspoon Dry sherry
4 teaspoon Hoisin sauce
2 teaspoon Rice vinegar
2 teaspoon Chili paste with garlic
1/2 teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoon Peanut oil
2 tablespoon Ginger; minced
2 tablespoon Garlic; minced
1 pound Sirloin Or Flank Steak; cut across grain, or ground beef
16 Green onion; sliced 2" pieces
2 c Broccoli; usteamed

Preparation

1. Combine first 8 ingredients, stirring until smooth.

2. Heat peanut oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced ginger, minced garlic, and beef; saute for 2 minutes or until beef is browned. Add green onion pieces; saute 30 seconds. Add soy sauce mixture; cook 1 minute or until thickened, stirring constantly.

add in 2 cups steamed broccoli if desired

Great flavor! just like a Chinese restaurant. Kid friendly as written, might spice it up for my husband next time.

Amazing!! Made it tonight for my family, and it came out wonderful!! Added mushrooms, and a Peruvian chile paste instead of what the recipe called for. Didn't make it too spicy, and the recipe turned outgreat!!

It was just ok. Fairly bland for my family. Probably won't make again unless I step up the heat significantly.

I made this EXACTLY per the recipe (except I didn't have peanut oil - used veg. oil instead) and it was DELICIOUS! I served it over white rice with the steamed broccoli. Very easy, quick and good. I would make this again!
