One complete dinner in crock pot
Coat beef cubes with mixture of flour, salt and pepper. Brown in hot shortening in skillet. Put all ingredients except water in Slow Cooker. Add water to skillet, scrape brown bits from bottom and add to Slow Cooker. Cover and cook on Low 10-12 hrs. (High 5 hours) or until meat is tender. 4-6 servings.
Be sure to use canned tomatoes (not sauce or puree).
