If your dog has a flatulence problem and/or doggie breath these biscuits may be the answer to your prayers.I'm hoping they are for mine! They are gluten and dairy free so they're suitable for dogs (like mine) with sensitive tummies. The activated charcoal is sold in capsule form made by Swiss Natural Sources; I purchased the capsules and brown rice flour at the Bulk Barn. Give your dog a biscuit or two a couple hours after his or her meals.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Wash parsley and mint and dry thoroughly with paper towel before finely chopping.
Measure the brown rice flour into a medium size bowl.
Open charcoal capsules into tbsp measuring spoon then add to flour.
Add sea salt to flour and then mix very thoroughly.
In a small bowl beat egg then add vegetable oil, parsley and mint.
Make a well in the flour mixture and add egg mixture stirring to incorporate.
Make another well and add as much milk as necessary to make a dough that can be rolled into a ball.
Grease cookie sheet. Roll dough into 1" diameter balls. Flatten with a fork. You can vary the size of the biscuit to suit your dog. Makes 2 1/2 dozen when using 1" diameter balls
Bake for 12 minutes. Cool on a rack and then store in air tight container.
