"Ready Meals" by LouisianaPrepper are made with all dry ingredients or pressure-canned. Ready Meals replace store bought, pre-packaged kits using home-grown, dehydrated ingredients, supplemented with freeze-dried and/or dehydrated foods from your favorite supplier or fresh food from the grocer. Ready Meals were created to give my college kids a home-cooked meal while they were miles away. Ready Meals are also great for camping, backpacking, or general prepping. Place dry ingredients, bouillon cubes, and packet of liquid ingredients in a jar or mylar bag and seal.
Store in a dark, cool place.
Heat 3 cups of water and add mix. Cook for 30 minutes on medium heat. Add 1 1/2 pounds of your favorite meat, such as chicken, shrimp, and smoked sausage and cook another 30 minutes. This is an excellent mix for your left-over smoked meat from the previous day's barbecue.
Service over rice.
