Suggest a better descriptionStart cooking the apples over medium heat with the lemon juice. Mix the apple juice with the seasonings and cornstarch then pour over the apples and cook until slightly tender and thickened. Role out one pie crust into the dish fill (room temp helps), then slice the other into strips. Add the pie filling then crisscross the strips of crust across the top of the filling pinching them to the base crust. add slices of butter all around the top and bake according to crust instructions.
