A wonderfully moist, simple to make cake with chocolate glaze.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Combine and melt in a saucepan-
1 cup water
2 sicks of butter
4 Tbls cocoa
Let cool.
In the mean time combine in your mixer-
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk (substitute with 1/2 cup milk with 1tsp vinegar)
Add cooled chocolate mixture (you want to make sure it's cooled or you will cook the eggs)
Split batter into 2 8x8 pans or one 9x13.
Cook for about 45 minutes or until cooked.
For glaze-
Melt 1 stick of butter
4 Tbls of cocoa
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
Powdered sugar to taste
Absolutely be sure to temper your eggs!
