In a skillet, cook bacon until golden but not crisp. Stir in green onion whites and butter. Cook until green onions soften. Whisk buttermilk mixture into flour mixture to combine. Whisk in green onion greens, then mix in hot bacon mixture, leaving some fat in skillet. Pour batter back into hot skillet. Transfer to oven, bake until done 20 min.
