Substitute Beef with Lamb
Heat ghee in saucepan, add onion and garlic, fry over gentle heat for about 5 mins, or until softened (not coloured). Stir in chillies and fry for another 2 minutes.
Add cloves, garam masala, coriander, tumeric, chilli powder and cumin. Stir constantly to mix well for another 2 minutes. Stir in beef and salt, cook, stirring for about 3 minutes to seal the meat.
Transfer to slow cooker then add tomatoes, coconut milk and spinach. Stir regularly to reduce spinach.
Slow cook for 3 hours on high OR 6 hours on low. Stir in lemon juice then season to taste. (Note: original recipe was a saucepan for 20-30 mins, then add lemon juice and cook for further 10 minutes uncovered to thicken).
Saffron rice goes well.
