Suggest a better descriptionHeat oil. Add cumin seeds, cloves, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks and asafoetida. Once spices are fragrant, add diced onions and cook.
Once onions are brown, add ginger garlic paste, green chillies, tomatoes, and the rest of the dry spices and chopped cilantro. Cook till the oil separates from the tomatoes, then add chickpeas and cook for another 2 minutes. Add water, and salt to taste.
Put over Samosas and top with yoghurt, green and red chutneys, diced onion, sprinkle a little cumin powder and red chilli powder and serve.
