1. Put all ingredients in a saucepan and cook on stove on lowest possible heat. Start with a smaller amount of sugar and add more to taste. Stir fairly frequently in the beginning until the sugar begins to melt. Adjust the sugar if desired.
2. Berries will collapse as it cooks and the sauce will come to the right consistency. Yum!
