Recipe shared by the chef of the Executive Dining Room at Johnson & Johnson! Folks LOVE this cake!
Mix batter according to directions on box, and bake cake in 13 x 9 pan. Bake cake for 10 minutes less than indicated on the box. You need to estimate when the cake is 10 minutes from being completely baked (ovens vary). If you take the cake out too soon, the crumb topping will disappear into the batter.
While cake is baking, make crumb topping:
Mix all crumb topping ingredients
With 10 minutes left to bake, remove cake from oven, sprinkle evenly with topping and return to oven, baking for the remaining 10 minutes.
Cool thoroughly, before cutting.
Enjoy!
This cake keeps well for days, if tightly covered.but it never lasts that long!
