Slow-cooked Turkey meatballs in mustard sauce
Preheat slow cooker if necessary
1. Mix together the onion, turkey, breadcrumbs, egg yolk and plenty of salt & pepper. Wet your hands and shape mix into 20 small meatballs.
2. Heat the oil in a large fry pan, add meatballs and cook over high heat, turning until browned. Remove to a plate.
3. Melt the butter in a clean fry pan, add the onion and fry gently for 5 minutes until softened. Stir in flour, gradually mix in stock and bring to the boil, stirring until smooth. Stir in the mustard and turmeric and season with salt and pepper.
4. Transfer the meatballs to the slow cooker, pour the sauce over them and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
Serve with mashed potatoes.
