In a large bowl, beat eggs, sugar, oil and vanilla. Combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt; add to egg mixture and mix well. Fold in apple and nuts. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 baking dish. Bake @ 350 for 55-60 minutes. Cool. In a small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and butter. Add sugar, beating until smooth. Add a drop of milk if necessary to cream. Spread over cake. Store leftover in refrigerator.
