Suggest a better descriptionIn a large soup stock pan, brown ground meat (Ground turkey is cheaper and tastes very similar to beef in the chili). If using beef, pour off excess grease; if other ground meat, liquid will boil off as it browns. Add spices and chopped peppers and onions and stir well. Add crushed and petite diced tomatoes, and beans, and stir until mixed well. Simmer on low for an hour, stirring every 10-15 minutes. Serve hot with frito scoops, sour cream, finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese, chopped cilantro, and extra chopped serrano peppers for the spicier chili lovers.
