Suggest a better descriptionBoil raisins, uncovered, 5 minutes in a little water, no more than one cup. Save liquid.
Cream butter, sugar, and eggs.
Add applesauce, gumdrops, raisins and 1/2 cup of raisin water with flour, cinnamon and soda.
Bake @ 275 degrees for 2 1/2 hours.
Makes 2 loaves.
