Sauté onion and green pepper and butter, about 10 minutes.
Brown meat.
Put tomatoes, tomato paste and seasoning into a large pot.
Simmer at low flame. Add meat, green pepper and onion to tomato mixture.
Simmer 2 to 3 hours stirring occasionally and skimming off excess fat.
Cook noodles according to directions
Place a layer of noodles on the bottom of a large baking pan.
Cover with mozzarella cheese, then crumbled ricotta cheese and a layer of sauce.
Repeat for another layer.
Bake for 30 minutes in a 350° oven.
