Tart sweetness
Mix 1/4 c. confectioners sugar, 1/8 t. salt, flour, and 1/2 c. butter. Press into an 8” square cake pan and bake for 15 min at 350 deg. Remove from oven and spread with the following mixture.
Mix in order: sugar, baking powder, 1/8 t. salt, 2 eggs, and 2 T. lemon juice & rind. Return to oven and bake 20 min.
When cookie mixture is cold, spread with glaze: 2 T. lemon juice, 3/4 c. powdered sugar, and 1 T. butter.
