Cook pasta and add peas to boiling pasta 4 minutes before finished.
Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water t return to pot
Add parsley and tsp oil. Stir adding reserved pasta eater a little at a time. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
Meanwhile while pasta is cooking, season scallops
In large skillet, heat butter. Cook scallops until browned on 1 side 2-3 minutes
Flip; cook until opaque throughout, 30-60 seconds more
Serve over pasta.
