If using fresh broccoli, rinse and break florets into smaller pieces.
Steam broccoli to desired tenderness. Drain well.
Place broccoli in ramekins for individual servings or casserole dish.
Top with butter, sour cream, bacon pieces, cheese and chives.
Serve hot.
Can be prepared earlier in the day and heated in the oven until cheese melts and broccoli is hot.
