Suggest a better descriptionCook bacon in a 10 inch cast iron skillet until crisp; remove bacon and drain on paper towels reserving drippings in skillet. Crumble bacon and set aside. Heat skillet in a 450 oven 3 minutes or until very hot. Whisk together buttermilk and egg. Add cornmeal, stirring well. Stir in bacon, baking powder, and salt. Pour batter into hot skillet. Bake at 450 for 15 minutes.
