This recipe is made with ground beef, cheddar, bell peppers and onions with a creamy sauce to drizzle over the shells when they are done.
This is made using a cast iron skillet the whole time. The shells are filled and at the end put back into the skillet before being put into the oven. If you don't have a cast iron skillet you can use a regular skillet and the a 9x13 glass dish. Grease bottom of glass dish before putting shells in it.
Preheat over to 350 degrees
Add the ground beef to a large skillet and brown until a deep brown
Remove the ground beef leaving the fat in the skillet
Add butter, onions and bell peppers into skillet with fat
Cook onions and bell peppers for 4 to 5 minutes
Add beef back into the pan
Add the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper into the skillet and stir
Take the skillet from heat and scoop it into the pasta shells
Top each shell with cubes of cheese (use half of the cheese for this)
Using the same pan add the beef broth, milk and cornstarch and whisk before turning the heat back on
Add in the rest of the cheddar cheese a little at a time while whisking for 3-5 minutes or until thickened
Pour about half the sauce around the shells
Bake in the oven for 10 minutes at 350 degrees to melt the cheese
Serve with the remaining sauce
