Chop onion and saute in olive oil. Add the hamburger and brown. Heat sausage in microwave for 3 minutes and peel off the skin. Slice sausage into 1/4" slices. In a large pot, add the hamburger and onion mix. Add meatballs and sausage. Add the garlic, Bay leaves, Marjoram leaves, oregano, thyme, brown sugar, 2 cups water, red wine, chopped tomatoes (not drained), stewed tomatoes (not drained) and tomato paste. Mix and simmer for 3 hours. Check occasionally to stir and add extra water as needed to keep consistency as desired. (I like mine a thin, so you may want to cut back on the water if you like your sauce thicker)
