Suggest a better descriptionCook sugar, butter and syrup until syrupy, pour into a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Spread apple slices over this. Slice bread into 3/4 inch slices and place on top of apple slices. Whisk together remaining ingredients and pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Serve with spicy apple syrup. Spicy Apple Syrup: Combine all ingredients in small saucepan.
