Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (bake, not broil). If the stalks of the asparagus are thick, peel the bottom 1/2 of each. Lay them in a single layer on a sheet pan and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Roast for 15 to 20 minutes, until tender. Sprinkle with the Parmesan and return to the oven for another minute. Serve with lemon wedges

Cricketbug75 7 months agoI normally blanch asparagus or saute with a little butter. This was new for me to roast it. I will make again, though I won't bake as long and will put in a covered dish. It's too easy for the tips to dry out. The flavor is great and it's simple.

nsardo94 11 month agoAdded 1 tablespoon of butter! And some sliced garlic and some onion powder to the butter and olive oil! I roasted them with a lid on to hold in all the aroma and deliciousness... Absolutely amazing, the grated parmesan really added that perfect bite it needed. Perfection!! Thanks(:
