"I don't have a Dutch oven so I was a lot worried cooking the chicken in a skillet then transferring it to a casserole dish. I cooked the chicken a little longer than it called for 6 minutes each side and about 15 minutes in the oven and the chicken was still juicy. Wonderful recipe. Combine bread crumbs and parmesan cheese together in medium sized bowl or on large plate and mix well.
Heat oil and butter in large oven safe skillet on stove top over medium-high heat till butter is melted and oil begins to ripple.
Season chicken on both sides with salt/pepper. Dredge chicken in bread crumb/cheese mixture and place carefully in hot skillet. Cook chicken on one side till golden brown (about 4-5 minutes). Carefully turn chicken and continue cooking. Slice mozzarella into 1/2 inch thick slices, place on top of cooked chicken and spoon spaghetti sauce over top.
Place pan in pre-heated 350 degree oven for 10 minutes or until cheese begins to melt and sauce is bubbly. Carefully remove from oven and enjoy!
KathyU_01096 2 months agoI cook it 35 min in the oven, in a baking dish after browning the chicken. That way I can cook a larger quantity. It comes out tender and flavorful, and it's even better the next day. I've made it dozens of times. Yum!
Kitty85 3 months agoThis recipe has been in my favorites for a few months. It's always my go to recipe when I need to make something quick or want something familiar that I know we will love. My fiance doesn't like chicken too much. This is one of his favorite meals. So delicious!

Serlena85 6 months agoThis is a delicious recipe. My family loves this recipe. There was one day that I did not have any mozzarella instead I had cheddar cheese. It was really good. I suggest it to everyone.
