Jadifi83The receipi was great. The only things I would change are vegetables, which one decides what to use by preference . I added sweet potatoes and replaced the tomato paste and used tomato sauce and added some fresh tomatoes. Loved this receipi, one can tweak it to personalize. But it's perfect!2w ago
RhumBabaWow! I really liked this soup. I made broth with leftover whole roasted chicken and I took the advice of another reviewer and used sweet potato. Also subbed lime juice because I had an excess of limes and lime seemed authentic. The seasoning I used was straight from this recipe. I like the versatility and am adding this to my faves.9m ago
RedheadededIt came out great! Used a little less lemon juice, per one of the reviews. . But over all definitely a recipe I am adding to my list of regulars. ;)1y ago
SeattleNickMade some alterations based on the reviews and was more specific about quantities. Oh, and omitted the expensive saffron. Here's what I did differently: - 3 Yukon Gold potatoes cubed - 3 cloves garlic, chopped - a teaspoon or so of turmeric - Salt and pepper to taste - 3 cubes of chicken bullion Added some pasta and it turned out great. bullion2y ago
robbgriffinPerfect and simple. I used chicken broth and topped soup with avocado and toasted tortilla slices.2y ago
RenSeattleGreat recipe, very tasty!2y ago
angelalawI was so excited to make this soup. But I was really disappointed. I love Lemon but 1/2 cup of lemon was way too much. I taste nothing but lemon juice when eating this. Was it suppose to be that way? It over powered everything else. So the Spices were lacking. I am not really a cook. But I would say it needs at least 3 bouillon cubes. Possibly double the pepper, salt, garlic, saffron. Possibly take down the lemon to 3 TB I will try these changes next time. I give it 3 stars because the portion size of water, carrots, potatoes and chicken are balanced pretty good. Although I would modify the instructions on the potato size. I used 3 small potatoes not sure what size potato to use. The instructions on how to cook are pretty good. Although didn't say when you should de-bone the chicken. I cooked in bone the entire time hoping it would add more flavor.3y ago
StewdebakerIt was fine but not a hit with my family.4y ago
