A creamy and tasty beef stew
Cut the beef into bite sized 1cm thick strips and roll it in the seasoned flour to coat it.
Peel and slice the onion.
De-stalk and slice the mushrooms.
Heat the oil in a heavy based frypan and cook the onion and mushrooms till the onion is soft.
Add the beef, bit by bit, till it is all browned.
Stir in the beef stock and red wine and then put the lid on and simmer with occasional stirring until the meat is tender (about 30 minutes). The flour on the meat should thicken the sauce.
With the heat as low as possible, mix in the sour cream. Do not let it boil.
Mix in the dill and spring onions and then serve.
Fresh dill is a must!
