Tikka Masala-style vegetarian recipe with a sauce short cut, potatoes, chick peas and green peas.
Prep onions, garlic and potatoes. In dutch oven, melt butter with olive oil and saute garlic and onions (2 min). Add potatoes and saute for another few minutes (stirring as needed) over medium heat. Meanwhile, heat oven to 375 degrees, and prepare rice for rice cooker. Add Tikka Masala packets with diced tomatoes to dutch oven. Add Gram Masala spice Continue heating. Add green peas. Add garbanzo beans. Stir. Once potatoes are partially cooked through, cover the dutch oven and transfer to the oven. Start rice cooker. Set oven timer for 3o minutes. After thirty minutes take the dutch oven on of the oven and plate rice. Serve family style.
The sauce packets are a bit of a cheat, but the ingredients look pretty straight forward (as of the time of this writing) and it saves a lot of time.
