Quick, moist and yummy. The perfect weekender or lunch box treat
Heat oven to 350'F/180'C. Cream together butter and sugar on medium speed of electric mixer. Add beaten eggs and beat until smooth. Add vanilla and mashed bananas; mix until smooth. Sift together flour, baking powder and baking soda. Add to banana mixture alternately with sour cream, ending with dry ingredients. Pour half the batter into a greased 13" x 9" metal pan. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle half of the mixture over the batter in the pan. Top with half of the chocolate chips. Repeat layers. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Helpful Hint: When bananas ripen, store in the freezer, skin and all, until you have 5 for this great cake.
