Suggest a better descriptionMeasure sifted flour, add baking powder and spices, sift together 3 times. Cream shortening and gradually add sugar- cream until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, fruit, peel, nuts, honey, molasses, and cider. Add flour gradually, beating after each addition until blended.
Turn into two loaf pans (greased) lined with heavy paper and greased again.
Bake in very slow oven at 250 degrees for 3 1/2-4 hours.
Makes 5 pounds.
