Dahl recipe from my mom

Method:
1). Into a saucepan add lentil , water and turmeric powder and cook for 15 mins until lentils are cooked.
2). Into a frying pan add oil and butter .Heat the butter. Add choped onions and garlic. Fry until onions turn golden brown. Add mustard seeds and crushed chillies
Fry for a min then add the cooked lentil and coconut milk. Cook for a couple of mins.
3). Add salt and black pepper to taste and add a.talble spoon full of butter.
Nish - Add cumin seeds /other spices !!!!!!!!!
